United Way of the National Capital Area (United Way NCA) is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual to join Community Impact’s leadership team in the evolution and implementation of United Way NCA’s partner, volunteer engagement, and nonprofit capacity building.
Reporting to the Vice President of Community Impact & Engagement, the Director, Partner and Volunteer Engagement (Director) will provide strategic and operational leadership for partner and volunteer engagement initiatives, including oversight of the nonprofit partner engagement and eligibility process, eligibility and compliance process for inclusion in United Way NCA federated and managed workplace giving campaigns , volunteer engagement strategy and experiences, nonprofit capacity building, technical assistance, and community partnership development.
The Director will work closely with Community Impact leadership and staff to align partner and volunteer engagement opportunities with United Way NCA's Strategic Plan, Community Impact and Resource Development priorities, and municipal/regional strategies. The Director will lead a team and collaborate across departments to create meaningful pathways for nonprofits, volunteers, corporations, government agencies, and community members to contribute their time, expertise, resources, and relationships toward measurable community impact.
