About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director / Partner, M&A and Exit Strategies to lead mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and exit planning initiatives for our clients. This leadership role will work closely with executive teams to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic growth opportunities while maximizing shareholder value.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or M&A advisory, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex transactions. In addition to leading transaction execution, this role is expected to drive business growth by cultivating strategic relationships and generating new M&A and advisory opportunities through an established professional network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute M&A strategies, including acquisitions, partnerships, and divestitures.
  • Lead the full transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, deal structuring, negotiations, and integration planning.
  • Advise clients on exit strategies, including mergers, IPOs, private sales, and other liquidity events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, venture capital firms, private equity groups, and strategic advisors.
  • Manage transaction pipelines and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional teams to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and represent the firm at industry events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, preferably within a public accounting firm environment.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and transaction execution.
  • Proven leadership, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Established network within the New York financial and advisory community.
  • Experience leveraging technology to enhance transaction execution and efficiency.
