Job summary

Pixelle Speciality Solutions, LLC in Spring Grove, PA, is seeking a Paper & Converting Director to lead the Spring Grove Paper, Coating, and Converting operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required; Pulp & Paper, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Ten or more years in a paper manufacturing environment with progressive leadership experience.
• Experience leading in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and processes.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with labor relations aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to drive first-quartile safety performance with a track record of improvement.
• Develop and execute profit-driven operating plans meeting production, cost, and quality targets.
• Build partnerships with EH&S, HR, Finance, Commercial, Maintenance, and Engineering for policy compliance.
• Align plans and resources with overall business objectives and priorities.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of manufacturing systems for papermaking.
• Provide technical leadership to resolve equipment, maintenance, reliability, and operating challenges.
• Coach operational leaders in budgets, material usage standards, and capital priorities.
• Provide leadership for major capital projects from evaluation to rebuild within scope and budget.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
