Job summary

WPP Media Limited in the United States seeks a Director, Paid Social to drive strategic excellence, governance, and ROI-driven media strategies. Leading a 22-person onshore/offshore team, you will ensure seamless activation and client-aligned objectives.

As a senior leader, you will manage executive relationships, approve media plans, champion platform innovation, and cultivate a high-performing, inclusive culture while overseeing staffing and budgets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Paid Social media activation
• 3+ years leading teams of 20+ members (onshore/offshore)
• Deep command of Meta, Google/YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and TikTok
• Experience with media automation (MAT) and QA frameworks
• Proven track record in executive stakeholder management and platform partner relations
• Staffing, scope management, invoicing, and agency financial protocols

Responsibilities

• Direct and mentor a 22-person onshore/offshore team through onboarding and training
• Drive an inclusive, high-performing culture with quarterly check-ins and growth plans
• Provide Director-level signoff on media recommendations, campaign testing plans, and client reports
• Enforce QA processes and 100% team adoption of MAT and data integrity standards
• Cultivate trusted relationships with senior client executives and platform leads (Meta, Google, X, LinkedIn)
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical account friction and brand safety concerns
• Oversee staffing allocations, recruitment pipelines, interview loops, and workload balancing
• Ensure on-time completion of timesheets, client scope management, invoicing and financial procedures
• Drive client expansion by identifying new product opportunities, platform betas, and testing framework
• Spearhead a central agency workstream (e.g., Channel Ops) and publish internal POVs on market trends
