Job summary

Aurora Behavioral Health System – Tempe is seeking a dynamic Director of Outpatient Services to lead our IOP and PHP programs at the Tempe campus. This leadership role emphasizes strategic growth, regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality care across outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree required in a behavioral health-related field.
• Arizona licenses: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LAMFT, LISAC, LASAC, LPC, or LAC.
• Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health and/or hospital experience in clinical inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Experience in psychiatric and substance use treatment programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the IOP and PHP programs.
• Ensure clinical excellence and compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary treatment teams.
• Monitor program effectiveness, patient outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Foster referral relationships and support community outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to achieve organizational goals.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental budgets.
• Ensure continuity of care across the behavioral health continuum.
• Participate in strategic planning, program development, and growth initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered treatment environment.
