Job summary

Transamerica is seeking a Director of Operational Risk Methodology and Reporting to lead the development and enhancement of ORM methodologies and reporting practices. The role partners with business leaders to strengthen risk management, reporting capabilities, and a risk-aware culture across the enterprise.

The successful candidate will shape the ORM program, translate risk insights for senior leadership and the Board, and oversee governance of risk issues and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 12 years of operational risk management or internal controls experience.
• Progressive leadership experience in operational risk management, internal controls, audit, or relevant field.
• In-depth knowledge of risk management principles, process mapping, risk assessment, and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for ORM methodology and standards across the enterprise.
• Own and evolve the ORM policy, framework, and underlying methodologies.
• Lead enterprise non-financial risk reporting, dashboards, and forward‑looking insights.
• Translate complex risk information into clear narratives for senior leadership and the Board.
• Serve as trusted advisor to Risk leadership on risk matters and control effectiveness.
• Oversee governance and execution of risk issue management and remediation tracking.
• Embed ORM into major business and technology initiatives across the lifecycle.
• Provide second‑line challenge to process design and controls to improve resilience.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and global ORM counterparts.
