Job summary

Acelero Learning is seeking a Director of Operations and Transportation in Milton, DE, to oversee facilities, IT, food services, and the transportation fleet across centers and offices.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local licensing rules and Head Start standards, while managing budgets and vendor contracts for cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership in operations, transportation, or facilities management.
• Experience managing multi-site operations and project-based work.
• Knowledge of local and federal childcare facilities, food service, and transportation regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally (up to 10%).
• Physical exam and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-level operations including IT, facilities, food services, and transportation across centers, storage sites, and offices.
• Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health codes, and Head Start Performance Standards.
• Oversee transportation fleet management: maintenance, insurance, inspections, and driver clearances.
