Job summary

The Ladders is seeking a Director of Operations to lead home delivery operations across multiple markets from a remote US-based location. You will drive execution, service quality, and financial performance by partnering with field leaders to strengthen capacity planning and coach teams.

You will implement disciplined operating rhythms, lead Lean or Six Sigma initiatives, manage the P&L, and ensure delivery capacity for fluctuations and new business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years in transportation, logistics, or home delivery with 3+ years leading multiple sites.
• Experience managing an operating budget or P&L.
• Direct experience with independent contractor delivery networks.
• Final mile/home delivery experience, especially with big-and-bulky products, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations across home delivery markets, including all logistics activities.
• Own operational and financial results, implementing service improvement plans.
• Establish performance expectations using KPIs.
• Conduct structured operating reviews to identify and resolve performance gaps.
• Maintain a strong field presence through site visits and leader coaching.
• Ensure adequate delivery capacity for demand fluctuations and new business.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Operations to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space.

This role will oversee home delivery operations across multiple markets, with a strong emphasis on execution, service quality, and financial performance. The ideal candidate will partner closely with field leaders to strengthen capacity planning, coach teams, and resolve performance gaps. Success in this role will come from driving disciplined operating rhythms and continuous improvement in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 annually
