Overview

We are a single-source solution for the design and implementation of sophisticated mechanical and plumbing systems. Our integrated in-house production model utilizes coordinated BIM models to produce precise fabrication documentation to help ensure accurate installation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage operations for the Business Unit by providing oversight, direction and support to the Project Managers and their teams. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to direct reports to facilitate their professional growth and development.
  • Support client growth and retention by collaborating with business development and work acquisition teams.
  • Service customers in a manner consistent with company values and promote prosperous business relationships.
  • Lead Business Unit and Operational Managers to evaluate and take actions aligned with the overall company strategy and culture.
  • Build an organizational culture that emphasizes continuous improvement aligned with core values.
  • Develop strategies to ensure the Business Unit operates seamlessly with other units and that decisions support the company’s best interests; coordinate process changes with other Business Unit Leaders as needed.
  • Ensure Business Unit operations and processes align with the company Operations Manual and implement necessary changes for continual improvement.
  • Drive quality improvement through research and implementation of best practices; identify new skills, better processes, or methods for the unit.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the Business Unit to enhance operational systems, processes and policies, including
  • Improve Management Reporting, Document and Information Control, Business processes and Organizational Planning and training
  • Bridge Operations, Accounting, Project Management and Field Labor; champion prefabrication.
  • Set and monitor performance goals tailored to the Business Unit and align short-term objectives with long-term company goals.
  • Establish monthly project status and projection reviews with each Project Team and report findings to the Executive Team.
  • Assess new projects and assign project management teams with the best likelihood of success for the organization and customer.
  • Support strategic management processes requiring restructuring and refocusing through action plans and focused processes.
  • Optimize supplier satisfaction and loyalty through improved operations, strengthening relationships with suppliers and ensuring value in transactions.
  • Implement productivity and quality metrics to minimize costs and enhance efficiency using quantitative and qualitative measures, including scheduling, task planning, percent complete drawings, and earned revenue tools.
  • Supervise, coach and develop staff with ongoing performance expectations, metrics, reviews, and career-path guidance.
  • Budget planning including cost to complete, labor loading projections, percent complete, billings and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure accounting department requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner.
  • Identify and mentor potential leaders to cultivate leadership skills and ensure ongoing growth of direct reports.
  • Oversee and supervise projects and their teams to strive to exceed established objectives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6-10 years progressive experience in project management or operations, sales or marketing in the construction industry, working for multi-million dollar mechanical contractors
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering or similar field preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and current events
  • Technical competencies to understand software, hardware, networks, etc.

Compensation

Minimum annual base salary: $145,000; maximum annual base salary: $200,000, DOE. Other compensation: position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
