Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Director of Risk Management within the Business Continuity and Resilience Risk Management team. The role oversees First Line of Defense risk-taking across Card, Retail, Commercial, Auto and Enterprise Services, and leads implementation of the Enterprise Operational Resilience framework.

Qualified candidates have 8+ years in risk management and at least 3 years in leadership with strong communication to senior executives, regulators, and business partners.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience in risk management, business continuity, operational resilience, or audit.
• At least 5 years in financial services or regulatory environment.
• At least 3 years in people management and in presenting to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee risk-taking by the First Line of Defense across Card, Retail, Commercial, Auto and Enterprise Services.
• Implement and govern the Operational Resilience Framework across Capital One.
• Respond to crises and incidents with strong leadership and reporting to executives.
• Identify emerging resiliency risks and ensure proper preparedness across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve program objectives and drive improvements.
