Job summary

University of Washington is seeking a Project Director for Operational Excellence to drive enterprise transformation across finance, research administration and IT. The role translates executive vision into a coordinated transformation agenda and partners with executive sponsors and external consultants.

You will lead through influence, with limited direct reports initially, and help build sustainable ways of working across the institution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field.
10+ years leading complex cross-functional programs in large organizations.
Experience influencing through executive partnership rather than direct authority.
Proven ability to translate broad objectives into integrated plans with milestones.
Experience modernizing services and organizational design.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional transformation across Finance, Research Administration and IT.
Coordinate workstreams and set milestones and dependencies.
Manage external consultants and ensure transfer of knowledge.
Identify workforce impacts and integrate change management.
Advise executives and maintain governance communications.
Monitor outcomes and establish ownership of new processes.
