Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation seeks a founding Director to build and lead the Forward Deployed Engineering organization for open models across North America, delivering customized AI through the partner ecosystem.

You will hire and develop FDE leaders, set strategy for post-training, inference optimization, and agent harness, and drive three-way engagements with partners and customers to scale Nemotron and Cosmos in production.

Qualifications

• 14+ total years in ML or software engineering, including 8+ years leading technical teams.
• 5+ years hands-on LLM post-training with models taken to production.
• Experience building and scaling technical organizations across multiple locations and time zones, including managing managers or leads.
• Deep technical credibility in post-training (LoRA/PEFT, SFT), model architectures, evaluation, plus agent harness engineering and optimization for LLM and agentic systems.
• Strong understanding of the partner, open model, and cloud provider ecosystem; ability to align multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy and lead the team that delivers custom AI to end customers through NVIDIA's partner ecosystem.
• The team deepens partner relationships and leads three-way engagements among NVIDIA, the partner, and the end customer.
• Hire and develop FDE leads, managers, and senior engineers across North America.
• Set the technical direction for post-training, evaluation, harness engineering, and inference optimization.
• Align priorities with sales, partner, and solutions leaders, and inform senior leadership on progress.
• Develop reusable recipes, reference pipelines, and playbooks for partners to succeed at scale.
• Turn field insights into Nemotron and Cosmos improvements with product and research collaborations.
