Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Abilene AI Data Center is seeking a Director, On-Site Power Delivery to steer utility power coordination, high-voltage readiness, substation delivery, and permanent power energization across OCI campuses. Qualifications

• 13+ years of experience in utility power delivery, HV/MV electrical infrastructure, substations, data centers, or large capital programs.
• 5+ years of leadership and people management experience leading teams, contractors, or cross-functional delivery groups.
• Strong knowledge of utility feeds, substations, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, metering, grounding, and power distribution interfaces.
• Proven experience with utility coordination, interconnection strategy, substation delivery, energization planning, and permanent power readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional utility power delivery governance across OCI campuses and oversee HV utility interconnection strategy and substation delivery readiness.
• Coordinate utility milestones, outages, tie-ins, energization sequencing, and recovery plans with visibility into risks and schedule impacts.
• Partner with utilities, contractors, commissioning, startup, controls, operations, and portfolio teams to ensure seamless power delivery.
• Conduct power readiness reviews and energization readiness assessments for active campuses.
• Validate substation progress, field readiness, turnover quality, and startup alignment onsite; escalate risks early.
• Support safe temporary-to-permanent power transitions and reinforce live power safety standards, outages, and turnover readiness.
