Qualifications: A successful Director of Youth Ministry is characterized by the following:
City Presbyterian began in 2011 as a church plant with a vision to Love God, Love People and Love the City. With no PCA churches within the city limits of Oklahoma City at that time, our founding pastors cast a vision of a reformed church living humbly and vulnerably with one another, loving God and the city well.
What began as a handful of families meeting in different church buildings throughout downtown OKC has now become an established congregation of more than 250 members with its own historic building situated near the city center. And along the way, we have planted two daughter churches!
What’s more, our youth group is thriving, reaching approximately 40 students from across the metro; our partnerships are expanding, from community development ministries to college ministries to homeless ministries and more; and our formation and discipleship ministries are multiplying beyond small groups into conferences as well as men’s and women’s events.
As we declare to ourselves and each other every week, “the Lord has made a place for us. This is the truth. Thanks be to God!”
