First United Methodist Church of Fort Collins is seeking a full-time Director of Youth Ministries to lead a dynamic and growing ministry for middle and high school students.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and lead weekly programs for middle and high school youth from a strong sense of vision; including Sunday School, youth group, and special events
• Recruit, equip, and support a team of dedicated adult volunteers andstudent leaders
• Organize retreats, mission trips, and service projects that build faith andcommunity
• Partner with families to support youth in their spiritual development
• Collaborate with church staff to help youth engage in the full life of thechurch
• Offer pastoral care and mentorship to students and their families
• Manage communications, logistics, and budgeting for the youth ministry
Qualifications
• A deep and authentic Christian faith, grounded in grace and inclusion
• Experience in leading or serving in youth ministry
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Creativity, adaptability, and a good sense of humor
• Ability to build relationships across generations
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience inministry or education considered
• Must pass a background check and complete Safe Sanctuaries training
• Salary range: $50,000–$55,000, depending on experience
• Flexible hours and hybrid possibilities
