Job summary

JCFS Chicago seeks a senior leader to oversee the Response program, guiding adolescent-focused prevention, education, and advocacy initiatives. You will manage staff, budgets, and cross-team collaboration, ensuring program integrity and measurable impact across the agency and community.

Ideal candidate brings nonprofit leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to working with diverse Jewish and general communities in the Chicago area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred in related field.
• Five or more years of experience leading a community-based program.
• Two or more years supervising staff.
• Knowledge of or experience working with adolescents and community programs.
• Knowledge of developing and maintaining program budgets; strong planning.
• Able to work with Jewish community leaders; familiarity with Chicagoland Jewish community preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Site visits to multiple Chicago-area locations required; reliable travel method.

Responsibilities

• Lead Response program aligned with mission, values, and financial sustainability.
• Identify new programming opportunities to meet evolving community needs.
• Oversee program finances and data collection standards; ensure evaluation.
• Supervise staff, manage performance, and coordinate hiring/retention.
• Represent JCFS Response in coalitions and with community partners.
• Develop and implement annual strategic goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with agency resources for communications and fundraising.
