Tuckston United Methodist Church, located in Athens, Georgia, a vibrant university town, is seeking a full-time director for its youth and young adult ministries. The focus of the position is to provide leadership and spiritual guidance to youth and their families in these ministries at Tuckston UMC in order to make strong followers of Jesus Christ to be sent into the world to serve others. The director will lead and facilitate the development of a comprehensive discipleship program for Youth Ministry. Sunday responsibilities include overseeing Sunday School classes, and leading the weekly youth gathering on Sunday evening. The director will coordinate activities of spiritual growth, recreation and missions’ opportunities. Applicants should possess a strong sense of call and passion for ministry with youth and young adults as well as a high level of spiritual maturity. Computer and technology skills will be helpful. Applicant should be a strategic thinker with strong oral and written communication skills as well as a team player, organizer and self-starter. Applicants should have an ability to produce results with minimum supervision and guidance.
