Job summary

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is seeking a Director of Wound Care to lead the department’s strategic and operational efforts, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care. You will guide clinical and operational functions, drive quality initiatives, compliance, staff development, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include staffing, policy development, budgeting, and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or seven (7)+ years of direct experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
• Master's Degree preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in a closely related field with Bachelor's degree required
• 3–5 years of previous leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily operations of the wound care department, staffing, resources, and a safe, quality-focused environment
• Develops and implements departmental goals, policies, and procedures aligned with the organization's vision
• Leads quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes; monitors performance metrics
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Recruits, trains, and mentors wound care staff; promotes growth and engagement
• Responds to patient care issues and incidents with corrective actions and continuous improvement
• Serves as a resource and leader to foster collaboration and commitment
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies and standards
