The YMCA of Delaware is hiring a Director of Fitness and Wellness to design and lead comprehensive programs, including group exercise and personal training, aligned with YMCA values. You will recruit, coach, and develop staff, monitor budgets, and drive outcomes that boost member engagement.

Lead partnerships with community and healthcare groups, apply data to improve services, and ensure safe, high-quality operations. This role requires strategic thinking with a focus on inclusion and service.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Fitness management, Health/Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field.
• Certified personal trainer certification (ACE or NASM) or equivalent.
• Proven track record in developing and scaling wellness programs.
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based health and wellness practices.

Aufgaben

• Design, lead, and grow fitness and wellness programs including group exercise and personal training.
• Ensure programs are evidence-based, culturally responsive, and aligned with core values.
• Direct recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management of staff.
• Develop and monitor budgets; analyze financials and manage revenue/expenses.
• Establish KPIs for programs and staff; evaluate effectiveness and member satisfaction.
• Partner with community orgs and healthcare providers to expand wellness offerings.
• Lead member engagement initiatives and leverage technology to improve experience.
• Ensure operations meet YMCA quality, safety, and service standards.
• Serve as a visible facility leader, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Support association priorities, fundraising, and risk management.
