Our clients are leaders in the education, government agency, health care, professional services, manufacturing, non-profit, and technology sectors. We specialize in audience education and engagement strategies across the channels that matter most to achieving our clients’ goals.

We’re looking for a director of web development who is passionate about leading website projects to solve complex challenges, while supporting the growth of our team members.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must have an acute focus on detail and a relentless commitment to quality while delivering projects on time.

What You’ll Work On

No two weeks look the same here. The web development team at CONNECTIVE works across a range of projects. As director of that team, you will:

• lead website projects of all sizes, managing timelines, budgets and staffing to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery,
• ensure every project follows best practices and development processes,
• conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, user testing, and competitive analyses,
• review sitemaps, wireframes and designs with UX and account teams to plan for development,
• develop user-centered, responsive and accessible websites and web applications,
• collaborate with UX designers and account teams to ensure seamless implementation and user experience continuity,
• draft and maintain development and technical documentation,
• conduct quality assurance testing,
• troubleshoot, identify and resolve technical issues,
• support ongoing management, maintenance and security monitoring of websites, and
• support new business efforts and agency goals.

Technical Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of the primary technologies required for multi-channel interactive media development
• Extensive experience managing and building websites in Wordpress and Drupal
• Understanding of best practice in development operations and code deployment approaches
• Understanding of best practices to anticipate and minimize digital security vulnerabilities
• Extensive experience integrating third-party APIs such as Google Maps, Google Search, applicant tracking systems, customer relationship management systems, etc.
