The Director of Wealth Management Consulting, based in Philadelphia, will lead a team of seasoned professionals who help train, educate, and support the growth of our Advisory, proprietary, HNW and Alternatives platforms along with coordination across all Wealth Management verticals. This highly visible role will serve as the central point of contact across all Janney regions for sales and consulting of all WM offerings with daily interactions to Advisors and home office employees across the firm.
What you are good at:
- Advisory/Managed Accounts/Alternatives knowledge – working with Advisory fee-based programs and platforms as well as Alternative Investments;
- Initiative - identifying ways to improve the Advisory Advisor and Client experience;
- Client Service – keeping the needs of Advisors and teams front of mind;
- Relationship Management - coordinating with various individuals across the firm with experience of internal/external sales;
- Project/Planning Management – creating and maintaining a plan to identify areas of opportunity and track growth.
Responsibilities:
- Director of WM Consulting will be based in Philadelphia and focused on overseeing the WM consulting team by setting up goals, metrics, and campaigns for the internals/externals consultants to help the growth of the various platforms with limited regional travel.
- Ensure team coordinates with WM SMEs for Insurance, Alternatives, Retirement, Lending, Planning for branch travel.
- Enhance our sales themes for consistent messaging across regions and PCG (where applicable).
- Align with Director of Advisory Programs, Advisory Technology, and Advisory Project Management for ongoing Advisory development from programs, platforms, and Investment Product Solutions.
- Drive and measure Advisory, Alternative Investments, and JCM Adoption by creating and developing KPIs/metrics across the entire group for team expectations and goals and provide bi-weekly reporting.
- Partner closely with Advisory programs to assist in training, education, and growth of Alternative Investments Platform.
- Identify ways to be proactive to assist and support our Advisors.
- Assist with value-based pricing and growth of initiatives.
- Continue the ongoing effort of demoing/educating/supporting the technology improvements delivered from the home office.
- Assist in testing ongoing technology enhancements delivered by Advisory and coordinate with the team on defects/bugs.
- Help with communication efforts.
- Develop routine communication calls with RD’s and field.
- Continue to receive feedback from Advisors and provide commentary to Advisory technology for continuous development and WM Research on Investment Product roster.
- Help guide Advisors to leverage Advisory Investment Products for portfolio construction.
- Attend various platform meetings to partner on technology developments/changes.
- Assist with newsletter creation for Advisory and communications to the field.
- Develop launch communications for newly on-boarded SMAs and Alts and set up education/launch calls to inform the field.
- Track opportunities to move to Advisory including prospects from PCT to a follow-up call.
- Identify brokerage conversions to help externals drive assets.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of Advisory/Managed Accounts background.
- Understand the operational and regulatory needs of Investment and complex products including Alternative Investments.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner.
- Requires a high level of initiative, attention to detail, ability to multi-task & prioritize and provide superior customer service to our Advisors.
- Proven written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
- Hybrid role with the ability for branch travel 20-25% of the time and be in Philadelphia for the remainder.
