Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC is seeking a Director of Operations to lead high-volume grocery/perishable warehouses and related facilities. You will own the annual operating plan and budgets, drive customer satisfaction, and oversee maintenance, safety, and asset management across the distribution system.

You will recruit and develop teams, coach performance, and ensure operational excellence to meet service level objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in general studies or related field.
• 7–10 years in warehouse operations, distribution, transportation, logistics, and/or supply chain management.
• Experience leading teams, coaching, and driving performance improvements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate performance of distribution center functions and address gaps.
• Evaluate business conditions and address near-term opportunities to reduce costs or increase revenue.
• Oversee annual operating budgets for warehouses, garage, fleet and support functions.
• Prepare and approve capital expenditure proposals for facilities and equipment upgrades.
• Drive adoption of improved processes and new equipment to achieve better results.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Oversee facilities and equipment management and asset replacement decisions.
• Conduct performance appraisals and coach reports to improve performance.
• Develop succession plans and staffing to enable advancement.
