Job summary

NorthMark Strategies LLC is seeking a Director of Vulnerability and Exploits to lead a technically demanding security function. You will own the vulnerability lifecycle, supervise exploit research, and build risk models that weigh exploitability against production impact.

You will partner with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, and Network teams to drive remediation and secure-by-default practices across HPC and AI-scale environments. Leadership and research depth are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in vulnerability research, offensive security, or exploit development.
• 3+ years in people management or team leadership.
• Experience securing large-scale infrastructure, HPC/GPU/AI workloads is a strong advantage.
• Ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams and define program metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of vulnerability and exploit specialists across two disciplines.
• Own end-to-end vulnerability management across the infrastructure footprint.
• Direct an exploit research function to understand true exploitability and craft PoCs.
• Innovate risk-measurement models beyond CVSS, including exploitability signals and production impact.
• Prioritize maintenance and remediation around demonstrated exploitability and operational impact.
• Build capabilities to understand vulnerability impact on production stacks and governance.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, and Network teams for remediation and secure-by-default practices.
• Drive tooling strategy for vulnerability assessment, management, and exploit research platforms.
• Develop program metrics, dashboards, and reporting cadence for leadership visibility.
• Stay ahead on GPU clusters, HPC interconnects, firmware, AI workloads, and CI/CD threats.
