Job summary

Diamond Generating Corporation in Houston, TX seeks a Director - Engineering and Technology to lead development, execution, and delivery of utility-scale solar projects across ERCOT and MISO. You will oversee engineering from pre-FID through commissioning and commercial operation, driving technical excellence, safety, and on-time performance.

This role requires strong leadership, deep power engineering knowledge, and the ability to coordinate multi-discipline teams, contractors, and vendors

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of experience in design, engineering, construction and startup of power generating facilities.
• Ability to implement project execution plans and communicate complex proposals to senior management.
• Strong written and verbal English communications skills are critical.
• Experience in developing proposals and interview material for new project pursuits.
• Ability to travel within the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate multidiscipline engineering, design and construction management activities and services for various projects, including field/site oversight.
• Provide technical information to Development, Asset Management and Operations for permits and licenses.
• Prepare technical specifications, performance documents, and cost estimates for new facilities or major modifications.
• Review technical and environmental performance to ensure compliance with Basis of Design and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor equipment pricing and new technologies for power generation improvements.
• Lead technical/environmental due diligence for potential acquisitions.
• Provide engineering, procurement, and construction management services for projects, including contract management.
• Assist Asset Management, Operations, and Development with technical, engineering or estimating activities.
• Provide technical support for permits and licenses; troubleshoot and support plant betterment.
