Job summary

Brenau University in Gainesville, GA seeks a Director of Galleries to lead the planning, curation, and operation of the campus galleries and permanent collections. Qualifications

• Master’s degree in fine arts, art history, or museum studies preferred.
• Experience in a museum or gallery setting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, curate, and schedule exhibitions and exhibition-related events for each academic year.
• Oversee the Collections Policy and the collections acquisitions process through the Collections Committee.
• Identify potential funding sources and assist with grant writing to support the gallery program.
• Attend institutional events on behalf of the Gallery and Permanent Art Collection; provide tours, lectures, and outreach.
• Propose, implement, and manage the gallery budget; supervise Gallery staff and Work Study students.
