Job summary

Brown & Brown, Inc. seeks a Director of Underwriting to lead underwriting operations remotely, overseeing daily bond requests, risk assessment, and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite contract surety bonds - assessing risk acceptability
• Manage daily bid and final bond requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Review new contract bond/account submissions for completeness and compliance with our policies
• Oversee the fiscal status of accounts, including in-depth analysis of annual accounting audits and internal financial statements
• Build and enhance agency relationships — schedule regular meetings with established surety companies, visit accounts, and actively identify and secure new surety partnerships
• Drive premium production growth by leveraging strong market knowledge and a proactive, client-focused approach
• As Director this person oversee/managed internal underwriters along with training/development of these employees
