We are partnered with a leading private equity-backed, multi-entity services organization seeking a Director of Accounting, Treasury & Shared Services to lead and optimize centralized finance operations across a large, decentralized platform.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing Treasury, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounts Receivable/Collections while driving process discipline, strengthening financial controls, improving working capital performance, and building scalable shared services capabilities within a rapidly growing, acquisition-driven organization.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will lead a team of functional managers and a broader shared services organization while partnering closely with finance and operational leadership across multiple business units.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution and will play a critical role in optimizing treasury operations, improving cash flow visibility, supporting acquisition integration, and establishing best‑in‑class shared services processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead centralized shared services functions including Treasury, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounts Receivable/Collections.
• Provide leadership to managers across multiple finance functions while overseeing a broader shared services organization.
• Own treasury operations including cash management, liquidity planning, cash forecasting, debt compliance, and banking relationships.
• Drive working capital improvements through enhanced collections strategies, reporting, and accountability.
• Oversee high-volume Accounts Payable and Payroll operations while identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Standardize processes and workflows across shared services functions to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
• Support acquisition integration efforts by evaluating existing finance processes and incorporating newly acquired businesses into shared services.
• Partner with finance and operational leadership to align financial processes with business objectives.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives leveraging technology, automation, and best practices.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing shared services organization while building organizational capability for future growth.

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading shared services organizations across Treasury, AP, AR/Collections, and Payroll.
• Strong treasury expertise including cash forecasting, liquidity management, banking relationships, and debt compliance.
• Experience in multi‑entity and/or private equity‑backed environments.
• Experience supporting M&A integration initiatives is highly preferred.
• Track record of driving process improvements and systems enhancements.
• Strong leadership skills with experience developing teams and partnering cross‑functionally.
