Our scaling fintech client is seeking a hands-on Director of Treasury & Financial Operations to help scale and optimize treasury operations within a high-growth fintech environment. Reporting to the VP of Corporate Treasury & Financial Operations, this individual will play a critical role in improving existing workflows, developing operational infrastructure for new products, and ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and control of daily financial activities.
This is an execution-focused leadership position for someone who enjoys working in the details while also thinking strategically about how to improve processes and build for scale. You will oversee the day-to-day workflow of a team of approximately three Treasury Analysts, collaborate closely with Capital Markets, Loan Servicing, Data, and other cross-functional partners, and help translate new business initiatives into reliable operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead treasury operations: Oversee and execute critical daily treasury activities, including high-volume wire transfers, ACH transactions, cash reconciliations, and remittance reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and appropriate risk management.
- Build scalable funds flows: Partner with Capital Markets and other business leaders to design, document, and implement operational funds flows for new financial products, lending programs, and pilot initiatives.
- Improve operational efficiency: Evaluate existing treasury and payment workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements that reduce manual work, improve turnaround times, and increase team capacity.
- Drive automation and reporting improvements: Collaborate with Servicing, Data, and technology teams to streamline remittance reporting and develop more efficient, scalable operational processes.
- Strengthen controls and compliance: Maintain and enhance treasury controls within a publicly traded, SOX-compliant organization, ensuring financial processes support appropriate oversight, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Provide functional team leadership: Coordinate daily priorities and the allocation of work across the Treasury Analyst team, promote accountability, and help ensure critical deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Lead change management: Develop and implement new procedures as business needs evolve, communicate changes effectively, and secure cross-functional buy-in to drive adoption.
- Partner across the organization: Serve as a key connection point between Treasury, Capital Markets, Loan Servicing, Data, and senior leadership, translating operational challenges into actionable solutions and communicating priorities clearly.
- Support strategic financial initiatives: Contribute to capital-raising activities, investor-related initiatives, and other corporate treasury projects as the business expands.
- Prepare for continued growth: Help establish the processes, documentation, reporting structures, and operational discipline needed to support a growing business and potentially expanding team.
Qualifications

- Fintech experience is required, ideally with at least 2–3 years working in fintech business.
- Public-company experience is required, including familiarity with SOX controls, control documentation, audit requirements, and operating within a regulated financial reporting environment.

- Proven ability to build and improve processes in an evolving organization, including documenting procedures, implementing controls, and introducing more efficient ways of working.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to operationalize new products, programs, or business initiatives.
- Ability to lead through influence, coordinate team responsibilities, mentor colleagues, and establish accountability without relying solely on formal authority.
- A highly hands-on approach, with a willingness to remain directly involved in daily execution while identifying opportunities for broader operational improvements.
- Strong analytical skills, sound risk judgment, and exceptional attention to detail when managing time-sensitive financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and drive change across teams.
