Job summary

WSB is seeking a Director of Transportation Engineering based in Idaho to lead and grow the transportation practice across Idaho and the West. You will own client relationships, project delivery, and revenue growth, building a high-performing regional team with strong ties to ITD and local agencies.

You will set strategy, lead multi-disciplinary projects, and provide senior technical direction while managing budgets, staffing, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited school.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration; Idaho licensure preferred.
• 12 to 15 years of transportation engineering experience across planning, design, and delivery.
• Experience with ITD standards, processes, and local agency projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead WSB's transportation practice across Idaho and the West region.
• Grow transportation revenue by winning new work with ITD, highway districts, local agencies, and regional partners.
• Build and deepen long-term client relationships with ITD and regional transportation stakeholders.
• Lead pursuits from first conversation to signed contract, including proposals and negotiations.
• Oversee multi-discipline projects from proposal through closeout, managing risk, schedule, quality and compliance.
• Represent WSB in industry and professional organizations.
