Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. seeks a Director of Transportation Design Engineering to lead the transportation design group, set strategic direction, and drive successful delivery of municipal and transportation projects.

You will mentor diverse teams, manage client relationships, ensure quality designs, and stay current with industry standards. Required: Civil Engineering degree, PE license, 10+ years of experience, and CAD proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads/MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and a PE license.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation design engineering.
• Proficient CAD skills with AutoCAD Civil 3D and OpenRoads/MicroStation.
• Strong leadership, client management, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the transportation design engineering department.
• Develop long-term goals and initiatives to drive growth.
• Oversee planning, design, and execution of transportation projects within budget and schedule.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams and mentor engineers and project managers.
• Build and maintain client relationships and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure quality control of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
