Job summary

You will oversee development and support teams, manage budgets, security, and procurements, and partner with schools to ensure technology enhances teaching and learning.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of IT leadership experience within an urban school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of successful management experience supervising IT department operations.
• Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Experience with technology funding sources preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and tactical direction to align technology with teaching and learning.
• Leads design and implementation of a division-wide technology plan.
• Oversees teams for application development, network/server operations, data/communications, and records management.
• Directs network security policies and defense against breaches and vulnerabilities.
• Manages the department budget and evaluates procurements for cost-effectiveness.
• Ensures reliable, accessible infrastructure supporting learning and work processes.
• Maintains high-quality customer service and collaborates with stakeholders.
