About the Role

TripleBolt is looking for a Director of Technology to set and own the technical direction across all client engagements. You will own the technical strategy, architecture decisions, and quality of the solutions we build. You will be the highest technical authority in the delivery organization, the person our Engineering Team will rely on to make the right call when it matters.

This role is central to how TripleBolt differentiates in the market. You will establish our standards for AI‑enabled delivery, lead the firm's adoption of Anthropic's Claude and related tools, and ensure our teams are using modern, intelligent automation where it creates real leverage for clients.

What You’ll Own

Technical Direction & Architecture

• Define and maintain TripleBolt’s technical standards, architecture patterns, and solution design principles.
• Review and approve technical approaches for client engagements, ensuring quality and long‑term viability.
• Act as the final technical escalation point for complex delivery challenges across all active projects.
• Partner with the Director of Delivery to align technical feasibility with project timelines and budgets.

AI‑Enabled Delivery

• Lead TripleBolt’s internal strategy for AI‑powered tooling. Identify where Anthropic’s Claude and the Claude API can drive real automation and efficiency gains in our delivery workflows.
• Evaluate, pilot, and roll out AI tools that improve how our teams build, test, document, and deliver for clients.
• Establish responsible usage guidelines and best practices for AI‑assisted development across the firm.
• Stay ahead of the curve on Anthropic model capabilities, API features, and the broader LLM ecosystem and translate that into practical advantage for TripleBolt and our clients.

Client Technical Engagement

• Engage directly with client technical stakeholders as a trusted advisor and senior technical voice from TripleBolt.
• Contribute to scoping, solutioning, and SOW development for technically complex engagements.
• Identify opportunities to apply emerging technology to solve client business problems in ways competitors aren’t.

Technical Talent & Standards

• Establish code quality standards, review processes, and technical documentation practices across delivery teams.
• Partner with leadership on hiring decisions for technical roles.

Leadership Reporting

• Report directly to the CEO and COO on technical risks, opportunities, and the health of our technical delivery capability.
• Contribute to TripleBolt’s product and service roadmap from a technical perspective.

What We’re Looking For

Required

• 10+ years of hands‑on software engineering or technical architecture experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical direction in a consulting, professional services, or product environment.
• Deep knowledge of modern software development practices, such as APIs, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and enterprise systems.
• Practical experience building with large language models, specifically the Anthropic Claude API (claude‑opus‑4, claude‑sonnet‑4, or equivalent). You have shipped real things with it, not just experimented.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, agent design patterns, tool use, and responsible AI deployment in production contexts.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical executives and clients.
• Experience working across multiple concurrent client engagements with varying technical stacks.
