Medical Mutual in Brooklyn, OH is seeking a senior tax leader to set corporate tax policy and oversee the preparation and compliance of federal, state, and local tax returns. You will ensure accurate tax accounting and timely remittance while collaborating with leadership.

The role requires a CPA and roughly 10 years in accounting/tax, including 3 years in a leadership capacity. A broad benefits package accompanies this opportunity.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• Master's of Taxation, MBA or Masters of Accounting preferred.
• 10 years of accounting/tax experience with 3 years in a lead position.

Responsabilidades

• Directs collection, audit and consolidation of data to prepare Federal, State and Local tax returns. Ensures compliance with due dates for Federal, State, Local and Property, and Premium/ Sales/ Use tax returns.
• Manages preparation of separate company and consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and supporting work papers.
• Gathers information for quarterly and annual domestic income tax provision and related accounting disclosures.
• Organizes filing and remittance processes for state health care tax surcharges; keeps current on tax law changes and coordinates with IT on systems.
• Reviews tax sensitive general ledger accounts and ensures accuracy prior to posting to G/L.
• Directs payroll department in preparation and administration of payroll information and tax reporting.
• Engages outside professional firms for tax matters and oversees their work.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
