Kingfisher Recruiting's client, a financial and tax advisory firm, seeks a Director of Tax Advisory Services in Philadelphia to lead TAS practice growth, operations, and strategic direction under the CEO of the Advisory Group.

You will oversee complex tax engagements, mentor professionals, and partner with executives to expand relationships, optimize pricing, and drive profitability while maintaining a strong client-centric service model.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of progressive tax experience.
• Expertise in partnerships, trusts, estates, and closely held business structures.
• Ability to lead teams, mentor talent, and manage complex client engagements.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with business owners, executives, and high-net-worth clients.
• Commercial mindset and interest in building and growing a tax advisory practice; an established book of business is not required.
• Balance hands-on technical work, client relationships, and strategic leadership.

Our client is a financial and tax advisory firm focused on helping entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals maximize their growth and wealth potential.

Reporting to the CEO of the Advisory Group, the Director of Tax Advisory Services will lead the growth, operations, and strategic direction of the Tax Advisory Services (TAS) practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Advisory: Lead complex tax engagements, develop proactive tax strategies, and build trusted, long-term client relationships.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop tax professionals, establish accountability, and build future leaders.
• Practice Growth: Expand existing relationships, identify new opportunities, and support business development and go-to-market initiatives.
• Financial Performance: Oversee engagement pricing, realization, utilization, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Firm Leadership: Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, resource allocation, risk management, and practice development as a member of the Advisory Leadership Team.

• 10+ years of progressive tax experience, with flexibility based on capabilities, maturity, and leadership potential.
• Expertise in partnerships, trusts, estates, and closely held business structures.

Salary and Location

• Base salary: $225,000–$275,000, plus bonus and benefits.
• Location: Philadelphia, PA – Hybrid (4 days in office). Travel 20% as needed
