Job summary

Orionplacement is seeking a tax professional to help launch a centralized tax support function for advisors and end clients in a hybrid role based in Arden Hills, MN.

You will prepare and review individual and business tax returns, partner with internal teams, and drive adoption of modern tax workflows using CCH. CPA or EA is preferred but not required with strong experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands‑on individual and/or business tax experience
• Comfortable being client‑facing and partnering with non‑tax stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service mindset
• Tech‑forward and interested in modern tax workflows (CCH experience is a plus)
• CPA or EA is strongly preferred, but not required if experience is strong

• Launch and grow a centralized tax support function serving advisors and their end clients
• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns and support planning conversations
• Partner with advisors, internal teams, and marketing to deliver a high‑touch service experience
• Gather and organize client information, clarify open items, and translate complex tax topics into plain-English guidance
• Improve workflows, templates, and processes as the new tax service line scales
• Leverage tax technology tools (CCH) and help drive adoption and efficiency
• Support compliance, documentation, and timely filing while maintaining a strong client experience

Pay: $95,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

• Gather and organize client information, clarify open items, and translate complex tax topics into plain‑English guidance

• Leverage tax technology tools (they recently transitioned to CCH) and help drive adoption and efficiency
• Support compliance, documentation, and timely filing while maintaining a strong client experience

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in individual and or business tax (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S experience helpful)
• Comfortable being client‑facing and partnering with non‑tax stakeholders (advisors, producers, internal teams)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service mindset
• Tech‑forward and interested in modern tax workflows (CCH experience is a plus)
• CPA or EA is strongly preferred, but not required if experience is strong
