Job summary

Victory College Prep School Network is seeking a Director of Talent to lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts for a diverse, mission-driven educational network in Indianapolis. The role collaborates with school leadership to build robust talent pipelines and align talent strategy with the organization’s equity goals.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in a recruiting or HR-related role, with experience using ADP and Hirebridge, and a track record of designing effective

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field.
  • Minimum two years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Experience designing and executing recruitment practices with measurable results.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion to support staff performance and retention.
  • Ability to articulate a compelling vision to recruit mission-aligned students and diverse faculty.
  • Familiarity with hiring platforms (ADP, Hirebridge, or similar) and content creation tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, MS Office).

Responsibilities

  • Create or revise job descriptions and interview materials.
  • Manage postings across platforms (Hirebridge, ADP, Nimble).
  • Coordinate internal and external hiring events.
  • Develop talent pipelines with partner organizations (TFA, ITF, RELAY, colleges).
  • Collaborate with school leaders to refine talent management structures.
  • Conduct screening interviews and coordinate transitions to interviews.
  • Support onboarding with school leaders and mentors.
  • Coordinate ongoing HR support and communications.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

The will also meet the following qualifications and possess these preferred skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; bachelor’s degree in education also to be considered
  • Minimum two years of work experience in (a) similar, relevant role(s)
  • Proven capability in supporting the design and execution of best practices that produce measurable results (as demonstrated through provided sample project work or results reports)
  • Highly effective oral and written communication to engage varied shared interest groups;
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness to support staff performance and retention
  • Ability to steward a compelling vision for the organization that yields measurable success in recruiting mission-aligned students and families as well as high-performing, diverse, and highly satisfied faculty and staff talent
  • Experience with (or knowledge of) hiring platform ADP, Hirebridge, or a similar talent management support software
  • Experience with (or exposure to) content creation platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Microsoft Office
Preferred Accreditation:
  • SHRM certification
  • Master’s degree in a related field
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Talent Recruitment
  • Create new or revise existing job descriptions and interview/screening materials
  • Manage the marketing and logistics of our job description postings using designated platforms (Hirebridge, ADP, Nimble)
  • Coordinate internal and external hiring events as needed
  • Support the management of relationships with local and national partner organizations for talent pipelines (TFA, ITF, RELAY, local colleges and universities)
  • Collaborate with school leaders to develop and refine talent management pipelines and structures
  • Screening interviews and other necessary meetings with job applicants
  • Coordinate a job candidate’s smooth transition from the applicant screening process to the candidate interview process as managed by the appropriate academic leadership team
  • Support the new hire onboarding process as necessary in coordination with school leaders, school mentors, and Director of Operations
Talent Retention
  • Coordination of and administrative support for employee licensing and credentialing requirements and related processes
  • Management of internal VCP professional development initiative, including the new employee mentor program and VCP Trailblazers leadership development program
  • Management of network team-building cultural events and administrative oversight of available budget and resources
  • Yearly onboarding of entire staff, collaborating with CSO, DoF, ED, and other key players
Human Resources Support
  • Maintain data entry and hygiene in ADP, Powerschool, and any other databases utilized
  • Management of the employee benefits portfolio and coordination of related vendor relationships
  • Management of the employee supplemental benefits portfolio, coordination of related vendor relationships, and tracking of benefits utilization
  • Management of FMLA/STD/LTD/Worker’s Compensation administrative responsibilities
  • Creating and sharing reports in ADP
  • Track and maintain a headcount report with high levels of data integrity
  • Other duties as assigned.
