Job summary

UpLevel Sourcing, LLC is seeking a Director of Surgical Services for a 120-bed hospital near Des Moines, IA. This role leads the surgical services organization with responsibility for patient-centered care, safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has RN licensure in Iowa or a compact state, CNOR and advanced certifications preferred, and a track record of developing strong, engaged teams in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• License: Iowa RN or compact state; CNOR, BLS, ACLS, PALS preferred.
• Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred; associates degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead surgical services with a focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Oversee budget development and resource allocation for surgical services.
• Develop and retain a skilled, diverse surgical services team.
• Drive continuous improvement in patient care and operations.
• Foster collaboration with medical staff and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare laws and accreditation standards.
