Job summary

Atlas Schools in Colorado Springs seeks a dedicated leader to oversee Special Education and related services, supervising a Speech-Language Pathologist, an Occupational Therapist, and a School Psychologist, and to coordinate MTSS and compliance efforts across K-12 campuses.

You will partner with campus principals to integrate services into master schedules, lead IEP timelines and team meetings, and coach SPED staff toward improved student outcomes. Start date: December 1, 2026.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience.
• Minimum two years instructional coaching in a K-12 setting.
• Experience in school-based leadership for special services (sped, ELL, accommodations).
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and foster an inclusive school culture.
• Demonstrated leadership, management, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ethical standards in student services.
• Proficiency in data analysis and technology tools for program evaluation and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of SSPs: SLP, OT, school psychologist.
• Conduct semi-annual performance evaluations and lead training.
• Coaching relationship with K-12 SPED teachers; partner with campus principals.
• Lead organization-wide MTSS process and meetings with fidelity.
• Ensure MTSS connects to evaluation referrals, READ Act and ELD supports.
• Establish organization-wide MTSS expectations and monitor campus performance.
