Job summary

Qalam Seminary is seeking a Head of Student Services to lead and manage all aspects of the student experience outside the classroom, reporting directly to the Associate Director. This role oversees the student services team, ensures students are well-supported throughout their time at the seminary, and serves as a central point of contact for student needs, concerns, and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent leadership experience in student services.
• Experience leading a team and managing student-facing programs in an education setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with sensitivity to student matters and confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to escalate issues appropriately and maintain a faith-based environment.
• Comfort working in a mission-driven academic institution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the student services team and day-to-day operations.
• Oversee student support, wellbeing resources, and welfare programs.
• Develop and enforce student services policies and procedures.
• Serve as primary contact for student concerns and requests.
• Coordinate student life programming and community engagement.
• Monitor satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with academic and enrollment teams across the student lifecycle.
• Maintain records of services activity, cases, and outcomes.
• Escalate significant concerns to the Associate Director as needed.
• Prepare regular performance and operations reports.
