Job summary

Special Olympics seeks a Director of Strategy and Innovation to lead the Strategy and Innovation team within the Unified Champion Schools division. The role focuses on data-informed decision making, SOP management, and cross-functional collaboration across SONA UCS and US Programs.

Occasional travel is required. Responsibilities include guiding strategic initiatives, monitoring program data trends, and translating findings into actionable plans for growth and quality implementation in the U.S.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant work experience with senior management or director roles
• Experience leading a team in a multilayered organization
• Experience providing technical assistance and support
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong data analysis and synthesis skills
• Experience summarizing data into actionable insights and strategy recommendations
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps and Smartsheet

Responsibilities

• Lead Strategy and Innovation team in strategic decision-making and development
• Maintain SOPs for Strategy and Innovation with the Director of Research and Evaluation
• Lead collection, tracking, and analysis of Program data to identify trends and opportunities
• Track and implement assigned strategic plan strategies and drivers
• Synthesize national UCS trends to inform leadership planning and standards
• Develop consultative processes and support for US Programs
• Create data analysis and trend report summaries for leadership
• Lead webinars, trainings, and meetings to promote UCS content and outcomes
• Assist with migration of data to CRM platform
• Synthesize research outcomes with other departments to translate findings into deliverables
• Supervise Strategy and Innovation Regional Managers
• Approve timesheets and travel for direct reports
• Develop goals and conduct annual reviews
• Serve as UCS relationship manager within the organization
• Lead subaward grant application and reporting materials in partnerships with Grant Administration
