Deli Star, a family-owned food manufacturer, seeks a Director, Supply Chain Engineer in Saint Louis, MO. This leadership role combines supply-chain engineering with strategic sourcing, planning, inventory and logistics to drive profitability and growth.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, sales and finance to design a world-class Fresh Sous Vide supply chain, improving cost, service, and resilience while building scalable systems for future growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, operations, manufacturing or related field.
• Eight or more years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, planning, logistics, manufacturing or operations.
• Leadership experience across multiple supply-chain functions.
• Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and cost optimization.
• Experience leading planning, inventory, logistics and supplier-performance activities.
• Strong analytical, financial and commercial judgement.
• Proven ability to build systems and improve processes within a growing organization.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills across manufacturing, technical, commercial, quality and financial teams.

Responsibilities

• Engineer the Fresh Sous Vide supply chain by designing and improving systems that move materials from suppliers to customers and establishing clear ownership.
• Lead strategic sourcing for proteins, ingredients, packaging, transportation and other materials; negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Own planning, inventory and logistics by translating forecasts into executable production and supply plans; optimize inventory and lead shipping logistics.
• Build future supply-chain capabilities for growth, channel expansion and cost optimization; align with product development and manufacturing.
• Lead, coach and develop teams across purchasing, planning, inventory, shipping and logistics; establish accountability and operating rhythms.
