Formación

• Significant experience in the food industry (manufacturing, distribution, brokerage, or trading).
• Proven experience in negotiations, strategic sourcing, sales, or business development.
• Ability to engage senior-level industry decision-makers.
• Strong grasp of gross profit, inventory risk, freight economics, and profitability.
• Demonstrated leadership and coaching of teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly (about one-third of the time).

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with food manufacturer executives (Presidents, owners, VPs of Sales, and National Sales Managers).
• Identify and negotiate profitable sourcing opportunities, including special purchases and excess inventory.
• Evaluate opportunities based on margins, demand, inventory risk, freight costs, profitability.
• Develop new manufacturer partnerships and expand existing relationships.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of seven purchasing professionals.
• Travel regularly for manufacturer visits, trade shows, plant tours, and business development.

Position Overview

We are seeking a commercially driven, relationship-oriented leader with substantial food industry experience to identify profitable buying opportunities, develop strategic manufacturer partnerships, and lead a high-performing team.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced professional who understands commercial negotiations, strategic sourcing, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Build relationships with food manufacturer executives, including Presidents, owners, VPs of Sales, and National Sales Managers.
