Redline Recruits is seeking a VP of Purchasing to lead its purchasing organization for a foodservice distribution company. The role focuses on developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving profitability while guiding a high-performing team.

You will partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and senior leadership to optimize margins and service levels, including relocation support for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Strong leadership and team management experience.
• Experience within foodservice distribution, food distribution, grocery distribution, or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of vendor negotiations, purchasing strategy, inventory management, and supplier programs.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the purchasing/procurement team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies that improve margins, service levels, and overall profitability.
• Negotiate pricing, programs, rebates, and other agreements with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Manage inventory levels to balance product availability, working capital, and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, vendor performance, and overall department efficiency.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and senior leadership.
• Support major customer opportunities through pricing analysis, product selection, and strategic purchasing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
• Help identify new products, suppliers, and opportunities to expand the company's product offerings.
• Monitor purchasing performance, expenses, inventory, and other key financial metrics.
• Lead initiatives designed to increase supplier participation and improve company profitability.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.

A well-established and growing foodservice distribution company is looking for an experienced VP of Purchasing to lead its purchasing and procurement organization.

This is a key leadership position responsible for developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, improving profitability, and leading a team that supports the company’s overall growth and customer service objectives.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

What We’re Looking For
