Job summary

3M is seeking a Director, ESC Strategic Projects to lead the build and scale-up of strategic capabilities and drive critical initiatives at Maplewood, MN. You will shape governance, ownership, and execution disciplines to strengthen performance and enable long-term growth.

The role requires 8 years of leadership in transformation or PMO environments, 5 years in project leadership, and the ability to collaborate across global teams. On-site role with travel up to 25% and relocation possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
• Eight (8) years of leadership experience in transformation, global capability center, PMO, operations, or related strategic execution environments in a private, public, government or military environment.
• Five (5) years of experience in project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the build and scale-up of strategic capabilities to establish a strong and sustainable operating foundation.
• Implement capabilities, governance, and execution disciplines that strengthen organizational performance and support long-term growth.
• Determine roadmap priorities, milestones, and improvement actions needed to advance toward industry benchmarks.
• Support leadership development, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional collaboration to enable effective execution.
• Drive execution progress, capability build-out, and leadership engagement across key strategic initiatives.
