Job summary

BLUSA Defense Manufacturing is seeking a Director of Project Management to lead a high-performing PM function. You will partner with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and per customer specs.

The role oversees portfolio-level risks and performance, develops the PM team, and provides leadership with visibility into delivery results and resource needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Seven+ years of progressive project-management experience in manufacturing or production environments.
• Three+ years of supervisory experience managing project managers or cross-functional teams.
• Experience delivering complex projects to schedule, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, ERP-based work-order management, and customer order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Project Management team with clear performance expectations.
• Oversee the full project portfolio ensuring schedules, budgets, and commitments are met.
• Standardize project-management processes, tools, and controls across the organization.
• Serve as senior escalation point for schedule, cost, quality, or capacity issues.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and other functions on handoffs and priorities.
• Review project status, material availability, and financial performance; adjust resources as needed.
• Ensure project documentation and ERP data are complete and accurate.
• Monitor costs, change orders, and profitability; identify margin risks and recovery actions.
• Lead regular project and production review meetings with concise milestone updates.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs for on-time delivery, margins, backlog, and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate forecasting, resource planning, and capital needs with senior leadership.
• Drive continuous-improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and improve visibility.
