Job summary

Parse Biosciences, a QIAGEN company, is seeking a Director of Business Development to lead strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide. You will report to the CTO and collaborate across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and R&D to identify opportunities, develop relationships, and drive revenue for Parse's GigaLab services and custom solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field; MBA/PhD preferred.
• 8+ years in business development, strategic sales, or commercial roles in life sciences/pharma services/CROs.
• Proven ability to close complex commercial partnerships with pharma/biotech.
• Strong understanding of pharma R&D, genomics, or life science markets.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing BD opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development plans for key pharmaceutical and biotechnology accounts to drive revenue growth.
• Identify and pursue new commercial opportunities, collaborations, and partnerships in pharma/biotech/drug discovery.
• Own complex BD opportunities from engagement through proposal, negotiation, and close.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across pharma, biotech, and CROs.
• Partner with Sales to develop strategic account plans and identify expanded engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Scientific Partnerships and internal teams to align Parse's capabilities with customer objectives.
• Work cross-functionally with Product Management, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations to support opportunities.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Represent Parse Biosciences at conferences, industry meetings, and client events to strengthen relationships.
• Maintain a sales pipeline and provide forecasts and market insights to leadership.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to strategic customers and identify future collaboration opportunities.
