Job summary

The Grant Center for the American Jewish Experience at Tulane University is seeking an accomplished operational leader to serve as an external ambassador, integrating center staff and strategic communications, while managing operations and the center's brand identity.

The role oversees the center's budget, cultivates external relationships, directs communications and donor outreach, and ensures all workstreams meet objectives, enabling the Executive Director to focus on intellectual leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in communications, public administration, nonprofit management, humanities, or related field preferred.
• Minimum five to seven years of progressively responsible experience in higher education administration, nonprofit operations, strategic communications, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing staff and multi-workstream operations.
• Experience drafting external communications and donor materials.
• Combination of education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-functional team across center operations.
• Oversee budget execution, financial monitoring, and restricted fund compliance.
• Cultivate external relationships and donor outreach.
• Direct strategic communications and institutional brand identity.
• Coordinate across functional areas and ensure objectives are met.
• Support executive leadership with capital generation and events.
