Job summary

One8 Foundation in Boston seeks a Director of Operations and Administration to lead day-to-day operations, grantmaking coordination, and administrative functions in Boston.

You will partner with the VP of Jewish Life and Israel, oversee budgeting, reporting, and governance processes, and help shape the foundation’s public presence and strategy. This role demands strategic thinking, strong management, and dedication to the Foundation’s mission.

Responsibilities

• Identify prospect grantee organizations aligned with the foundation’s mission and strategy
• Independently manage all due diligence steps, assessing leadership, plan, finances, impact potential
• Lead strategic planning sessions on theory of change, model codification, priorities, and growth
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses including benchmarking, financial modeling, and competitive assessment
• Develop or refine strategic/operational plans with partner organizations
• Determine grant pursuit in collaboration with Director; prepare grant materials for trustees; assist grantees in trustee presentations
• Develop and finalize grant agreements
