Job summary

Detroit Employment Solutions Corporation seeks a Director of Internal and External Reporting to lead financial reporting, forecasting, and data analytics across the organization. Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and financial reporting.
• Experience with grant-funded or government-funded organizations preferred.
• Experience supporting external audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead timely monthly financial reporting for the organization, departments, programs, and grants.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payments, billing, cash receipts, deposits, reconciliations, collections, and aging activity.
• Lead financial forecasting and grant reporting in partnership with the CFO and Director of Financial Planning, Grant Management & Procurement.
• Coordinate with the Senior Accountant and financial operations staff to ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
• Lead development of reporting datasets, dashboards, analytical tools, and other financial information resources.
• Collaborate with CFO and executive leadership to provide objective financial analysis and recommendations.
