Job summary

Wind River, a leader in mission-critical software, seeks a Director of Strategic Engineering Programs to align product and engineering, shape strategy, and accelerate execution across management and engineering leaders.

You will partner with senior leaders to advance strategic initiatives, optimize investment priorities, and ensure product vision stays aligned with business needs and customer demands.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in strategy, product strategy, business operations, consulting, chief of staff, program leadership, or related fields.
• Experience partnering with executive leaders in product/tech.
• Proven success leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
• Strong understanding of product management and engineering models.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to drive alignment across functions without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the CVP of Engineering & Product to drive strategic priorities, organizational alignment, and executive decision-making.
• Serve as a strategic advisor across Product Management and Engineering, connecting strategy, roadmap priorities and investments.
• Lead a portfolio of high-impact, cross-functional initiatives spanning Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Customer Success, and other partners.
• Drive planning and alignment around product portfolio priorities, roadmap execution, resource tradeoffs, and investments.
• Facilitate executive reviews, strategic planning, roadmap discussions, and leadership operating rhythms.
• Shape executive communications, Board materials, and strategic narratives that communicate progress and impact.
• Anticipate risks, resolve cross-functional issues, and accelerate progress on top initiatives.
